This all started when I found a couple packs of unopened Memorex dbs cassettes, the kind with the colored geometric designs, at a local second hand store. I immediately thought of Justin Marc Llyod's latest project at the time, Path to Lobster Believers, and thought these tapes would be perfect for a split...and also a chance to return a favor for the previous year's split, Fruitland Heights Gigabytes on Rainbow Bridge.
This split is very different in several unintended ways, besides the obvious difference of it being released on tape instead of cdr.
PTLB focuses more on tapes and a music concrete approach than Justin's primary project at the time, Pregnant Spore. Our side is totally different where instead of an electroacoustic tape collage tantrum, we explore what madness can be made with computer synth-type sounds.
